Rural Assets Credit Ltd, is a registered company under the Companies Act
(Cap 486). It was established as a micro-finance institution targeting the poor, especially women in the rural areas of Kenya.

Message from the Chairman

In fighting poverty, it is now upon the society to embrace micro – financing as a means of facilitating the change from below to above the poverty line. Majority of Kenyans living in the rural areas live below the poverty line. This group of people find themselves in a quagmire of having potential at their feet but lacking that little push to utilize that potential. The client base of Rural Assets is drawn mainly from the low income earners who are aiming at improving their lives by engaging in income generating activities. These include dealers of small scale assorted goods, green grocers etc.
